MEET THE FOUNDER
My name is Kenderus Phillips, and I founded Kendera Global because I believe technology should empower people — not leave them behind.
I was born and raised in Rochester, New York, a city that taught me the value of community, resilience, and service. I've always been fascinated by technology — from the first computers and mobile phones to today's smartphones and digital tools — and I've seen technology transform how people learn, communicate, work, and access essential services.
For the past 12 years I've worked in the wireless industry with T-Mobile, helping thousands of customers choose devices, connect services, and solve technology challenges. During that time I noticed something that stayed with me: many people were paying for powerful devices but only using a small fraction of what those tools could do.
I met older adults afraid to tap the wrong button. Parents struggling to navigate educational apps for their children. Individuals who didn't know how to access telehealth, manage online accounts, protect themselves from scams, or stay connected with loved ones. The technology was available — the knowledge and confidence often were not.
At the same time, I was pursuing my degree in Anthropology, studying how people, cultures, communities, and systems interact. Anthropology taught me that access alone is not enough. True inclusion happens when people have both access and the ability to participate confidently.
That realization became the foundation of Kendera Global — a commitment to ensuring no one is left behind in an increasingly digital world.
